ABSTRACT
In this article the author discusses the growth of geothermal systems in the U.S. The author states that the growth is attributed to its ability to save 30%-70% heating costs and 20%-50% cooling costs. He mentions that geothermal can be maintained with less costs and can improve sustainability including water conservation. He also cites that the conventional two-pipe coupled heat pump systems have lesser installation costs, complexity and redundancy.
