ABSTRACT
In this article, the author discusses the unemployment rate which remains high despite the stimulus package. Some sectors are forecasting unemployment rates in the 9% range, short of the 7.8% rate targeted by U.S. President Barack Obama, and analysts at the newsletter "Cook Political Report" estimate that the number of democrats in the House will be reduced by 20 to 30 seats. The author believes jobless recovery will take a long time and will impact the results of the November 2, 2010 elections.
