ABSTRACT
The author presents his arguments against efforts in the U.S. Congress to ban high-volume ammunition clips after the January 8, 2011 attack on Arizona Representative Gabrielle Giffords and her constituents. Advocates believe the ban would save lives while gun rights activists state that the ban would endanger law-abiding citizens. The author also informs that gun advocates choose magazines that hold more than 10 rounds to improve the odds in defensive situations and that the earlier ban was proven a failure.
