ABSTRACT
The author discusses the aspects of war initiated by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) against Hizballah, a terrorist organization based in Lebanon and also IDF's more satisfactory campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. He is critical of the poor showing of IDF in the campaign and gives reasons for the same which include the Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and his government's inability to size up the enemy correctly.
