Why We Need The F-Word

Parrenas, Juno
May 2014
Lesbian News;May2014, Vol. 39 Issue 10, p24
The author shares her views about feminism. She wonders how men can feel entitled to inflict bodily harm, punishment and even death to women because of who and how they love. She explains that like people, feminism is never alone because while it is a singular word, it always contains multitudes. She adds that feminism gives a language to address painful questions of how people live their lives, how they support their own lives and how their lives can be taken away.
