ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of a talk about the day-to-day realities of life in Israel and Palestine co-hosted by the Foundation for Middle East Peace in Washington, D.C on November 10, 2014. The speakers were physician/filmmaker Alice Rothschild and New America fellow Brian K. Barber. Topics covered include the human smuggling in Gaza, the refusal by Gazans to talk about their suffering and the acceptance of people critical of Israeli policy.
