ABSTRACT
The Harmonogram, an invention by Karol Adamiecki (1866-1933), an often overlooked pioneer of management who had great influence in Poland and Russia, is presented. The invention is first described in terms of its initial impact. Then its significance to the career of Adamiecki is discussed. Finally, following a brief comparison of the Harmonogram with Gantt Charts and PERT, a translation of a Polish article by Adamiecki describing the Harmonogram is presented. This is the first English language appearance of Adamiecki's article.
