A definition of the term "green energy" is presented. The green energy refers to the environmentally-friendly power and energy that comes from renewable and non-polluting natural sources. The green energy sources include solar energy, wind power, geothermal resources, hydropower and biomass energy, which is derived from wood and animal waste.
