ABSTRACT
A cold is the most common illness people get. Schoolchildren often catch colds from one another. Many people falsely believe that in low temperatures, you can catch a cold by going outside without a coat. Colds are caused by viruses, and not cold weather. Washing your hands is a good way to avoid catching many viruses. Vitamins and medicines cannot cure colds. While some vitamins and medicines may make you feel better for a while, there is no cure for the cold.
